With a multidisciplinary background spanning soil science, microbiology, and production systems, Mphatso operates at the intersection of science, innovation, and enterprise development.

His core expertise lies in agricultural science and fertilizer systems and research-driven innovation and implementation, where he has contributed to both scientific research and applied agricultural development. His experience includes conducting field and greenhouse trials, soil analysis, and nutrient optimization research with institutions such as the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), as well as hands-on exposure to fertilizer production systems and value chains through industrial training at OCP in Morocco. His work has also contributed to scientific publications in organo-mineral fertilizer development, reinforcing his role in advancing evidence-based agricultural solutions.

As Chief Executive Officer, Mphatso brings a forward-looking vision centered on leveraging science, data, and innovation to drive sustainable agricultural transformation. His leadership integrates research, technology, and practical implementation to address systemic challenges in food systems, while building solutions that are both scalable and locally relevant. He holds a Master’s degree in Fertilizer Science and Technology from Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Malawi, positioning him to lead with both scientific rigor and strategic clarity.
